A little tropical paradise

Hi everyone! And welcome to our blog!

We have now spent about 1,5 weeks outside of Sweden and are therefore officially on the road! The travels so far have been intense but relaxing, all very new but still familiar. But we are loving it!

We first flew to Los Angeles to spend three nights and three days. In LA we stayed in Hollywood and spent most of our time walking around seeing the major sights in that part of the city. We managed to see the Griffith Observatory, the Walk of Fame, Madame Tussauds and of course got a view of the Hollywood sign.

After a short hike we were at the Griffith Observatory

After that we flew down to Belize City, where we took the ferry over to Caye Caulker, a little tropical Caribbean paradise.

As we are writing this, we are spending our last evening on the island. Caye Caulker has everything you need for a pleasant stay: hotels, hostels, shops and a big variety of restaurants and bars. The water surrounding the island is clear as crystal, the street food is amazing and the people that gather here are a great mix of backpackers, vacationers and retired Americans. Its a pretty cool place that has that true Caribbean vibe to it. The people on the island live after the motto: Go Slow, which we’ve really adopted this week.

We’ve not only spent time chilling out but also hanging out with some cool people, snorkeling in the reef, swimming with sharks and eating the most amazing “fry jacks” (a deep fried corn tortilla with lots of fresh toppings). Life is pretty great here, but we are also longing for more adventure and less touristic places. Therefore we’ve decided that we’re heading inwards, to western Belize to check out some Mayan caves we’ve heard great things about and then setting of into Guatemala.

Take care guys! ❤️
